John has served as a Medical Device Industry Executive Recruiter, building relationships specifically in New England since 2002. John’s relationship with the medical device industry began three years earlier however, when after transitioning from the military, he wasn’t offered what he thought was his dream job in medical device sales. As often happens in life, this was a gift in disguise and John was offered a Sales and Marketing role in the semiconductor industry, where he gained an appreciation of fast moving technology and corporate culture.
After the birth of his first child and a move to New England, John joined the Bowdoin Group in Wellesley, MA to help grow an emerging medical technology talent search business. He quickly gained an appreciation for the human resources side of business, specifically how top performers, in the right role, can greatly impact the success of a company.
While living in Boston, John earned his MBA, focused in Entrepreneurship, from Babson College. Shortly after, he launched his own recruiting practice, Agile Search, Inc., in August 2005. John appreciates the ever changing medical technology industry, the diverse and talented people he gets to work with, and how his career offers him the opportunity to continue learning every day.
John earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point, NY and is a former Army Officer and US Army Ranger School Graduate. John values the importance of teamwork and how the right hire can complete a team and enable amazing results.

Kathy found her passion for recruiting in 2000, after a career in training and development and HR consulting. She began as a corporate contract recruiter for medical device clients which was a happy accident that introduced her to corporate missions aimed at healing patients, which inspires her to this day. She then founded her own practice in medical device recruiting, and has never looked back, as she is a matchmaker at heart with a love for identifying a need and filling it with a human being, resulting in happy clients and candidates! She joined Agile Search in 2017 and brings with her a strong and deep network in the Boston area medical device market.
Kathy earned her college degree in History from Dartmouth College and a Master’s in Education with a concentration in Organization Development from Antioch University. She was inspired to pursue her Master’s due to her strong interest in systems thinking. Her current area of interest is the onboarding process and how managers can leverage the unique skills of their new hires to increase retention.
Prior to joining the recruiting field, Kathy had a stint as a personal historian offering her services to individuals who wanted to capture their stories in a personal memoir. She carries this experience with her into recruiting, as she believes everyone has his or her “story” that reveals key motivators which she is eager to learn. In her free time, you will find her spending time with family and friends, reading autobiographies or historical fiction, and playing tennis.
